THE GREEN HOPPER provides safe, affordable and convenient transportation aboard our 100% electric and zero emission 5-passenger vehicles around the Sarasota and Manatee county areas. Flag us down on the road, hop aboard, or contact us in advance to schedule a pick up! We'll take you within our service area and to any stop you'd like to go! Most of our trips charge a very modest fee or if you're on Siesta Key, your trip is absolutely Free! We ask that you tip your friendly Hopper driver. If you enjoyed your ride be sure to tell your friends and family.

The Green Hopper is dedicated to promoting the green movement by providing Florida residents and tourists local public transportation around the community using 100% electric, zero-emissions six-passenger vehicles. The Green Hopper is commited to supporting community economic development.


The aim of community economic development (CED) is to support businesses to accumulate wealth and to make the local way of life more creative, inclusive, and sustainable.  Community economic development involves people working to create economically sustainable communities.  Local people build organizations and partnerships that interconnect businesses and other aspects of sustainable communities.
